Just My Opinion

I would never begrudge any family dealing with disabilities for trying to bring in extra cash to help offset the financial devastation that can occur when trying to care for their loved one or someone creating a project who's true goal is to help educate and spread awareness! I don't know about you all but with me a little honesty goes a long way!

There is a huge difference between saying, "Buy our (blank) because % of the sales go towards our child's therapy and keeping us afloat"; and someone who's annual net family income is already more than several average households combined preying on the desperation of other families under the preface that they can relate because their child has a similar condition therefore exploiting that condition purely to gain some sort of notoriety and profit.

New to Autism?  Don't know what to do, where to turn, who to call?  Oh let me "HELP" you and guide you.... FOR A PRICE!

It hurts to admit that for the first 2 years after Autism came into our life that my husband and I were sucked in by countless people who wanted to "help" us and we spent a ridiculous amount of money that would have been better spent accessing more therapy hours for our son.

Any new parents who read this who don't know what to do to get the ball rolling are welcome to contact me anytime FOR FREE! I don't know everything but I can certainly give you an idea of what's out there and what steps to take first.

If you want to help a friend or family member who is struggling to live with Autism try ASKING them what they actually NEED.

If you're going to donate money on their behalf anyway why not see that it actually goes to your friends/family and benefits their child. Stop donating to organizations who have their own agenda's and waste thousands of dollars on frivolous studies.  Think about pitching in towards a speech session or a few hours of ABA, or do something as small as gassing up their car.

See that smile on Z... it's because he knows his momma is fired up and thinks it's funny!
